Puntegaalstraat 23

With its exceptional architecture, tall windows and high ceilings, Puntegale was formerly used as a tax office. This listed building features a beautiful atrium and a rare paternoster lift. Both of which can be enjoyed by residents every day.

Puntegale building

Puntegale is a building with a story. This listed property on Puntegaalstraat used to be a tax office, which led to the street being commonly known as Pluk-me-kaalstraat – meaning “Bleed-Me-Dry Street”. The building has been renovated into a beautiful residence for young working people, with sustainability firmly in mind. For example, the toilets are flushed using water from the lock. There is a services person who can receive packages on your behalf or lend you a ladder if you want to hang something from your (very) high ceiling. And there’s a communal roof terrace where all residents can relax in the summer. If you have a car, this can be left in the parking garage near the building.

You’ll find nice bars, eateries and shops with items from all over the world in the surrounding Delfshaven Area. And did we mention you’ll have a view of the Euromast?

Apartments and studios for young people

Puntegale contains 47 studios measuring an average 40m2 and 154 apartments averaging 62m2. There is a communal roof terrace and some of the accommodations have a private balcony. Cars may be parked on the parking deck or in the garage. These accommodations are reserved for young people who have already been renting from us as students and have now gone into employment. This building has an active residents’ committee with its own website.

Living in Delfshaven

Puntegale is located on Coolhaven Island, which is the place-to-be for creative entrepreneurs. You’ll find them in areas like the Lloydpier, where you can also go for coffee and lunch. Stepping out of your front door, you’ll see the Euromast right in front of you, which means you’re also very close to Het Park, a perfect place to relax on the grass in summer or take in a festival. The beautiful Historisch Delfshaven, where you can get a good local beer, is a five minute cycle ride from your home. Cycling to the city centre takes ten minutes and you can also ride to Zuid, via the beautiful Maas Tunnel, in no time. Coolhaven metro station is a five-minute walk away.

Want to live here? You can apply for these studios and apartments if you already rent from us. Please be aware of our rental conditions for young workers.
