Living in the centre

Want to live in a lively place in an excellently accessible location? Then you’ll feel right at home on the border between Oude Westen and Cool, in Rotterdam city centre. This neighbourhood has countless eateries, bars and terraces, as well as art and culture. If you’re into film, you’ll be delighted to be within walking distance of the large Pathé cinema on Schouwburgplein and the KINO film house. It also won’t take you long to get to the Kunsthal and other museums by cycling or walking along Westersingel. Around the corner in Wijkpark you’ll be able to visit a food festival in summer. At other times, you can always get your groceries from the many small shops on West-Kruiskade. If you cycle under Centraal Station, before you know it you’ll be in Rotterdam-Noord. This is where you’ll find Vroesenpark, a perfect place to spread your picnic blanket out in on a sunny day. The university and college buildings are within cycling distance.
