Living in Haringvliet

If you live in the Haringvliet building, you’ll always be near the water. You accommodation will have a view over the charming inner harbour and it will take you no time at all to walk to a terrace on the Oude Haven or enjoy a breath of fresh air along the Maas. It’s a truly wonderful place for students, because all the bars and eateries of Oostzeedijk are so close to home.

Student accommodations overlooking the water

The rooms in the Haringvliet residential building are an average 17m² in size. With these, you’ll share a kitchen, bathroom and toilet with one or more fellow residents. The studios, which measure an average 24m², come with a private kitchen, bathroom and toilet. The apartments, in which you also have these facilities to yourself, are an average 38m². Haringvliet has 134 rooms, 13 studios and 13 apartments. Some of the accommodations have a balcony. Haringvliet has an active residents’ committee.

Living in the centre of Rotterdam

In Haringvliet you’ll be living right in the bustling heart of Rotterdam. The Oude Haven’s terraces are just two minutes' walk from your building. If you wander a little further, through the cube houses, you’ll come face to face with the impressive Markthal. Blaak (train) station is right there in front of you, which is oh, so useful. You can get a breath of fresh air along the Maas, enjoy the views from the Willemsbrug and stop off at the Alohabar in what used to be the Tropicana. Another great thing about living so centrally is that all the university and college buildings are within cycling distance.
