De Douane building

De Douane is a former customs office on the creative Coolhaven Island where you can rent a studio or apartment. Here, you’ll be living close to the centre and Historisch Delfshaven. And you’ll have Het Park bij de Euromast as your back garden! The building’s ground floor has a fitness club and a pleasant restaurant, where you can recharge your energy after working out. And you’ll be able to get together with your neighbours in the communal roof garden. This energy-efficient building is completely gas-free. Cooking is all electric and heating is via the district heating system. This is climate-conscious living!

Studios and apartments for young workers

De Douane has 85 studios (average 34m²) and 56 apartments (average 65m²) available to rent. All of these include a private kitchen, bathroom and toilet. They also all come with their own storage space on the ground floor. If you have a car, you can park for a specially reduced rate in the parking spaces near the building. These accommodations are reserved for young people who already rent from us, who have gone into employment after finishing their studies.

In the Westzeedijk area

This is a central location in Rotterdam West, from where the centre is two metro stops away and reachable by bike in ten minutes. If you head in the other direction, you’ll find yourself in beautiful Historisch Delfshaven, where you can enjoy a local beer. In summer, you can just walk to Het Park with your picnic basket in hand. And on a lazy Sunday, you can make yourself at home in Rauwouwer, tucking into a stack of pancakes while your clothes are washing in the laundry bar. Fancy some culture? Podium Grounds is the place for discovering musical talent. Or you can visit an exhibition in the Kunsthal.
