Once you’ve finished studying and started work, you have the opportunity to rent an apartment or spacious studio at the intersection between Kortenaerstraat and Van Brakelstraat (KoBra residential building), just around the corner from Witte de Withstraat. Right at the heart of the action! These homes give you full privacy (own kitchen and bathroom), but you’ll also get the benefit of living in the same building as other young adults.

KoBra has just been renovated into a modern, energy-efficient residential building. Warmed through residual heat, it is well insulated and has new windows and window frames. This is sustainable living!
Apartments for working people
The 58 homes we’ll rent out measure between 40 and 60m2 and come in various different types, such as two-storey apartments and studios with a balcony. There are also ground floor apartments with a garden. The exact rental prices are not yet known, but will probably be between €600 and €800 per month (including service costs for communal areas, but excluding costs for water, electricity and heating within your home.
Facilities
KoBra has a communal area where you can safely keep your bicycle. If you have a car, you’ll need a parking permit, or you can leave it in our parking garage on Snellinckstraat, which is a 10-minute walk away.
A peaceful base in dynamic surroundings
There’s no chance of being bored in the centre of Rotterdam, especially when living so close to the fashion shops, eateries and sociable bars around Oude Binnenweg. Other streets known for their shopping and entertainment, such as Nieuwe Binnenweg and Witte de Withstraat, are also within walking distance. You can walk to Centraal Station in 15 minutes and to Beurs, which serves every metro line, in 10 minutes. Amid all this, the building is actually located in a quiet street, where you won’t be bothered by noisy traffic.

- Rental contracts for KoBra last a maximum of 5 years.
- We do not ask for a deposit.
- These homes are handed over in a “bare” state. This means that, unlike what you’ve been used to in your student accommodation, you have to arrange a number of important matters yourself, such as internet, heating, water, light, paying municipal
- taxes, laying a floor and hanging curtains. The advertisement always contains a representative calculation, so you know approximately what costs to expect.
